Pete Buttigieg is an American politician. He served as mayor of South Bend, Indiana. He also served in the military. Later, Buttigieg ran unsuccessfully for president in 2020. In 2021, he became secretary of transportation for President Joe Biden. He was the first LGBTQ+ person to join the cabinet.
