Temple Grandin was born on August 29, 1947, in Boston, Massachusetts. Her parents were Eustacia Cutler and Richard Grandin. As a baby, Grandin stiffened when her parents held her. As she grew older, she fought being held, did not speak, and had difficulty expressing her feelings. Her frustration caused her to go into rages.
