Overview
Joe Biden (1942–) is an American lawyer, politician, and President of the United States. He served as a US senator from Delaware for thirty-six years. He left the US Senate in 2009 to serve as vice president of the United States under President Barack Obama (1961–). He served two terms as vice president from 2009 to 2017. In April 2019, Biden announced that he would run for the presidency the following year. In 2020, Biden won the Democratic nomination and announced that Senator Kamala Harris would be his running mate as they faced the incumbent, President Donald Trump.
